So I've had a 3 days weekend because of Labor Day today and I was so looking forward to it. My vacation isn't until the middle of October so I needed this day. God had other plans. My husband got something similar to the Norovirus late Saturday so we spent all morning yesterday at the ER and then the rest of the day at home trying to get him past the horribleness. I've Cloroxed [pretty much everything in my house except for my cat. Not exactly how I wanted to spend two of my 3 days off. :(

Anyone who knows me for very long knows that I love Larnelle Harris. His worship through music never fails to hit me right where I'm hurting, or in this case am the most comfortable. Such a powerful message for Christians.

Our temperatures this past week have been just miserable. We were in the 90s every day, but out heat indexes have been over 100 for the last 3 days. It is just miserable. And so humid....I want rain!!!! If I knew a rain dance I'd surely do one!!

Started working at a new location about 5 weeks ago and so far, I have no complaints. It's much nicer being 3 minutes away from my house. I come home to eat lunch every day and I get to sleep about 30 to 45 minutes longer every day as well. Unfortunately the public remains as uninformed as every other office I've worked at.

I attempted to watch the Smackdown PPV Battleground tonight. I gave it up after the asian guy got kicked in the gonads by Baron Corbin. There is not a single member of the entire roster I care about seeing. I think we should send them guitar guy so we don't have to listen to him on Raw and they can send us chad gable

Surprised

Believe it or not I'm actually looking forward to most of the PPV tomorrow night. At least half the matches are ones I'll find worth watching. Good for WWE finally giving me things I don't mind seeing.

Here are my predictions:

Lesnar retains. Unfortunately.
Miz retains. Unfortunately
Neville retains.
I think The Hardys will win the tag belts back
Bliss will retain. Unfortunately
Wyatt will defeats Rollins
Cass will destroy Enzo. As he should.

Honestly, I can't really pick a winner in Roman vs Braun. I think the winner will all hinge on what WWE has planned for Summerslam. If they're going with Roman vs Lesnar then Roman should get the win. If they have decided to hold off on that until another time, then I would understand them going with Braun. At this point, it's too close to call.

So I started this summer, 6 week class to learn how to pray more effectively. It's being lead by Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Billy and Ruth Graham. It's been very helpful so far. The first week was an actually study to learn how to study.....very informative.

Anyway I have enjoyed the truths I've unearthed!! And I'm hoping for more to come!!

Speak Life

I grew up in an evangelical protestant home. No one in my household cursed. We found other ways to get whatever point we were trying to make across rather than stoop to ugly unnecessary curse words. And today, It’s like it’s everywhere….you cannot watch a single TV show without several curse words in them. I guess my question is WHY? Do people know so few normal words that curse words must be used? Clean language up. In my mind it shows as someone of lesser intelligence who cannot carry on a decent conversation without cursing. I cringe when hear one at work. Doesn’t matter if it’s the boss, or customers saying it. Think before you speak. Speak LIFE into someone!! Speak JOY!! Build someone up!!

Toby Mac Agrees!!

Some days life feels perfect
Other days, it just ain’t workin’
The good, the bad, the right, the wrong
And everything in between

Yo it’s crazy, amazing
We can turn our heart through the words we say
Mountains crumble with every syllable
Hope can live or die

So speak life, speak life
To the deadest darkest night
Speak life, speak life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the broken hearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh

Some days the tongue gets twisted
Other day my thoughts just fall apart
I do, I don’t, I will, I won’t
It’s like I’m drowning in the deep

Well, it’s crazy to imagine
Words from my lips as the arms of compassion
Mountains crumble with every syllable
Hope can live or die

So speak life, speak life
To the deadest darkest night
Speak life, speak life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the broken hearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh

Lift your head a little higher
Spread the love like fire
Hope will fall like rain
When you speak life with the words you say
Raise your thoughts a little higher
Use your words to inspire
Joy will fall like rain when you speak life with the things you say

Lift your head a little higher
Spread the love like fire
Hope will fall like rain
When you speak life with the words you say

So speak life, speak life
To the deadest darkest night
Speak life, speak life
When the sun won’t shine and you don’t know why
Look into the eyes of the broken hearted
Watch them come alive as soon as you speak hope
You speak love, you speak
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh

You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh
You speak life, oh oh oh oh oh

Some days life feels perfect

I'm sure no one around here watches Dancing With the Stars, but it's hilarious that David Ross, who should have been voted off several weeks ago, will be in the finals next week!! (His team nae is Lady and The Gramp) All because the Chicago Cubs fans are relentless!! It's so funny! I love him but even I know Simone Biles should be in the finals.

My cat, who is generally not camera happy at all, decided to grace me with a pose a few weeks ago.

I continue to feel so badly for all the crap Roman has to put up with. I'm glad the fans in France lifted his spirits.

It's been raining here since last Thursday or so. Over 8 inches have fallen so far. I hate cloudy weather unless I can stay home and cat nap all day. Unfortunately, I also need to be able to eat, so I've been at work (except for the weekend). I feel like I could sleep for days.

was the word. And the word for me today is Hello, Dreamwidth!! No tell how often I will be able to post. I LOVED posting on LJ. I was involved in many TV fandoms....I miss those day. Looks like I need to find one of the Q&A thread to see what and who folks like...

name/nickname; Becki

age; 55

fandoms; WWE (I guess that counts), Leverage, Chicago Med, NCIS New Orleans

actor/actresses you fancy; Cary Grant, Gene Kelly, Katharine Hepburn

other sites you are active on; Twitter, Facebook,

anything else you wanna add: gif, quotes whatever... Not much to say, I've been suffering the past few months with migraines and sciatica so my online time has almost come to a halt. I used to be able to read fanfic alot and spend hours talking about my favorite shows. Now, ity's difficult to sit for more than a few minutes at a time. That's why Twitter works so well for me at the moment. It's fast. I can retweet stuff and comment quickly. Anyway, hi folks.
